Gender Relations Center

Housed in the Sister Thea Bowman Center, theĀ Gender Relations Center (GRC) designs and implements educational programming and workshops in the areas of Gender Equity and Intersectionality, Healthy Relationships, LGBTQ and Allies, and Masculinities and Authenticity. PrismND is advised by Stanley Asango (sasango@nd.edu), Assistant Director of the GRC.

Peer Mentorship Program for LGBTQ & Ally Students:

The GRC runs a peer mentorship program that matches upper-level undergraduate and graduate students as mentors to peers as mentees. The goal of this program is to support students throughout their Notre Dame journeys and connect students (mentors and mentees both) with resources from the Notre Dame community.
Apply to be a mentee here.

University Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center (UCC) offers free mental health counseling for Notre Dame students. Located on the 3rd floor of Saint Liam Hall, students can attend drop-in hours with a counselor five days a week without needing an appointment. For the current schedule of drop-in hours, visit the UCC website.

The UCC also provides support for LGBTQ+ students, including LGBTQ-affirming therapists, and a LGBTQ+ therapy group. If interested, visit the UCC during drop-in hours and inquire about staff or the therapy group.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry creates a welcoming and affirming environment through their LGBTQ ministry, including monthly Catholic mass and socials, an annual LGBTQ retreat, and faith sharing groups for undergraduates and graduates. All students are welcome, regardless of faith background. Contact Tom Purekal, Campus Ministry's LGBTQ Chaplain, at tpureka1@nd.edu or fill out this form for more information.
