Founded in 2013, PrismND is Notre Dame’s first and only official LGBTQ+ undergraduate student organization. We are dedicated to fostering the campus LGBTQ+ community and raising awareness of our needs by hosting a variety of events: from our weekly HangOuts to annual, campus-wide events like our annual fall Gala and spring Art Showcase.
Our mission takes students as our primary focus, where we aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive community for queer and ally students, regardless of their background. From year to year, PrismND has extended its reach across all areas of campus and beyond to ensure safety and belonging for students at a Catholic university. With the immense focus on community and belonging at Notre Dame, PrismND strives to build on this notion to provide support to students in times of both joy and need. All are most welcome at PrismND!
As a student organization, PrismND holds weekly official meetings to plan events and activities for the community. Attendance at these meetings is open to all — both queer students and student allies are welcome to contribute and even join one of our committees. In addition to weekly HangOuts and Organizational meetings, officers hold office hours throughout the week.
